Individual Workshop

In this workshop, you have the freedom to create the piece you want—there are no preset projects. You bring your own ideas, and we’ll teach you the best techniques to help you make it happen.

You can choose from a wide range of techniques based on your interests, including:

• Mould making and slip casting

• Press moulds

• Learn how to glaze properly complicated vessels

• Japaneese Kurinuki 

• Building larger vessels using coil technique

• Wheel throwing

• Hand-building techniques

• Experimenting with natural materials (pigments, lava, and sand from specific locations) You can bring your own material to be incorporated into the clay- for example sand from your favorite location

• Working with positive and negative moulds, including two-part moulds

• Pressing botanicals into clay​

You’re welcome to focus on one technique or explore several. This workshop is flexible and made to support your needs.

• All clay, glazing materials, and firing are included

• You’ll also receive one open studio session to come back and glaze your pieces

• If you prefer, we can glaze your work with a transparent glaze.
